Of course we complained about the false ATOS report. We also sent a letter to appeal the stopping of my partner’s ESA.
Over the next 3 months we were told (at various times):-
- The letters had not been received.
- The letters had been received (and I was even told the colour of highlighter used)
In desperation after many expensive calls and being told again that no letters had been received, I wrote to my MP and Chris Grayling.
Someone else was appointed to the claim and it was processed.
Update:- We complained of these delays, of the days we were told to await a telephone response, of the day I was told to await a telephone call but that I had to have my partner answer the phone (despite me having written authority held by the DWP) and so having to sit in the corridor outside her ward for 6 hours and having to call the DWP twice as they had missed their callback deadlines.
The complaint contained a simple apology and said they had no details of these problems.
In December 2012, ATOS Healthcare sent me an internal DWP document several pages long listing, in detail, the errors.
